About this event
The new Australian Health Research Alliance (AHRA) digital Health Research Hub to guide consumer and community involvement in health research is being launched. This new national platform is designed to make it easier for consumers and communities to actively participate in health and medical research, as well as healthcare improvement. This system’s approach seeks to create a step change in the way Australian researchers undertake consumer and community involvement.
Funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), the Hub was developed through rigorous evidence synthesis and research, and co-produced with consumers at every stage. It offers researchers, consumers, community members, and healthcare professionals access to high-quality, practical resources and tools that support meaningful and effective involvement. It is accompanied by a Consumer and Community Involvement Implementation Guide for Researcher Organisations and input into policy. This event will feature insights from the team who led the Hub’s development and provide an overview of its key features, upcoming activities, and a new LinkedIn discussion platform designed to foster ongoing collaboration.
