Health Translation Queensland (HTQ) has launched the Framework for Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI) in Health Research — a practical guide to help researchers embed meaningful consumer and community involvement across all stages of the research cycle.
Developed through a collaborative co-design process with consumers and Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI) leads by the HTQ-led CCI in Research Alliance, the Framework sets out key principles for effective involvement, provides step-by-step guidance on how to embed meaningful consumer and community involvement across every stage of the research cycle, and links to resources that support good practice.
HTQ Executive Director Dr Celia Webby said the CCI Framework marks a major step forward in strengthening how researchers and communities work together to improve health outcomes.
By embedding meaningful consumer and community involvement in research, we ensure that research is more relevant, trusted and impactful for the people it’s designed to benefit.
